Begin your exploration by visiting the monastery of Gouverneto. Follow a path with magnificent views of the sea and spot the caves of ancient worship and ascetism until you reach the monastery of Katholiko, dedicated to St John the Hermit. The walk offers an impressive perspective to the rock-cut cliffs and dramatic sea views, giving the opportunity to relish the diverse Cretan landscape that unravels lavishly just a short distance outside the city of Chania.
Next stop, the Monastery of Holy Trinity, one of the richest and most beautiful monasteries in Crete. An incredibly well-preserved and vibrant monastery that produces and exports organic olive oil, wine, honey, vinegar and olive oil soap of unique quality.
