Ready for learning through play?

Start your family experience visiting a local organic herb taste room, where endemic Cretan herbs are cultivated by the hosts themselves. Explore the island’s rich flora and biodiversity, learn about the healing properties of herbs, and discover how they are used in traditional Cretan cuisine. You’ll also create your own botanical tea blend, engaging your senses of taste, smell and touch for a truly multisensory experience.

Continue to the Arts and Handicrafts Village of Chania, where you will enjoy a hands-on pottery class. Guided by an experienced ceramist, children and adults can shape, form, and create their own piece of art, which you’ll take home as a special souvenir.

If you wish we can spend half an hour exploring the workshops at the Arts and Handicrafts Village so that you can do some souvenir shopping and interact with the local artists.

* Since raw clay is fragile before firing, we recommend scheduling this activity at least 4 days before your departure from Chania. This ensures your masterpiece is safely fired and ready to take home after we deliver it to your hotel.

* Each participant receives a handmade souvenir created by the ceramist as a special keepsake from the class.
